One question we are sometimes asked is whether it is required to be represented by a licensed representative in order to apply for immigration and/or admission to Canada. From a legal standpoint, you do not require representation by a licensed representative because under the Canadian law, adult applicants are entitled to complete the immigration application forms by themselves. While from a legal standpoint you do not require representation by a licensed representative, the fact of the matter is that Canada's Immigration and Refugee system -- which consists of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations, the applicable case law, and various related rules, policies and procedures -- is quite complex.
